Copenhagen | Hamlet’s Home

The northern section of the island of Zealand has recently become known as “the Danish Riviera” for its magnificent castles, beach-lined resorts and gorgeous scenery. Take in the Renaissance splendors of Frederiksborg Castle, built in the early 17th century. Since 1878, the castle has also housed the Museum of National History, making a walk through the castle a journey five centuries into the past. Following lunch, explore Kronborg Castle, better known as Elsinore, the setting for Shakespeare’s timeless tragedy Hamlet. Tonight’s dinner takes place in a restaurant that was formerly a church, and includes a special three-course wine pairing menu.
