Enjoy a morning visit to a lively and colorful indoor market in Narbonne. This afternoon, negotiate the seven-lock staircase at Fonserannes, experiencing this marvel of 17th-century engineering firsthand.
Visit the market town of Pézenas and view the uniquely striking architecture of the local mansions once owned by nobles of the Languedoc court. Also discover the town’s history with legendary French playwright Molière, who once lived here, and then cruise to Portiragnes.
Today, cruise through the estuaries of the “Petit Camargue,” a birdwatcher’s paradise. Moor in the port at Marseillan to tour the Noilly Prat vermouth distillery and enjoy a tasting, and then return to your vessel for the Captain’s Farewell Dinner on board.
After breakfast on board, bid ‘Athos’ adieu and disembark in Marseillan for your transfer back to Béziers.
