Soak up the sun as the brand new 'Finesse' meanders along the Canal du Centre and Saône River, travelling through lush southern Burgundy. You drift past charming river towns and moor at some of the most fascinating sites in France. Tour historic Dijon on foot and visit the 14th-century ducal palace Château de Gremolles. Taste the local wines at Château de Chamirey, owned by the Devillard family for five generations. Sleep in, relax on deck as the sun comes up or accompany the onboard chef to the morning market, and then watch meals being prepared in the open demonstration kitchen.

Day 1

Meet in Dijon and transfer to 'Finesse,' moored in Saint-Julien-sur-Dheune on the Canal du Centre. After a welcome reception and crew introductions, settle into your spacious cabins before a gourmet dinner on board.

Cruise to St-Léger-sur-Dheunt today for a visit to 14th-century Château de Germolles, a former residence of the Dukes of Burgundy that features a ducal chapel and romantic gardens.

Day 3

Travel to Autun this morning, an ancient Roman town with a 17,000-seat amphitheatre and 12th-century cathedral. Then cruise to rural Remigny, passing through the famous Santenay wine region.

Day 4

Drive to Beaune with its 15th-century charity hospital of Hôtel-Dieu. Explore the quaint shops before enjoying lunch at a Michelin-starred restaurant. Return to the barge for a cruise past charming Chagny to the village of Rully.

Day 5

Cruise to the village of Fragnes with opportunities for walking and cycling along the towpath. After lunch, partake in a private wine tasting at the delightful 17th-century Château de Chamirey in Mercurey.

Cruise onto the Saône River to St-Jean-de-Losne. Travel to Dijon for a walking tour that includes the famous mustard shop and time for shopping. Return to 'Finesse' for a gala farewell dinner on board to celebrate your relaxing week of cruising.
