Luxury Vacations in the New England
Blazing scarlet canopies make the New England autumn one of America’s loveliest sights, but “leaf-peeping” season is merely the beginning. In Massachusetts, Boston is a lively cultural capital, a red-bricked romp through the nation’s history, while Cape Cod sends a curled, sandy arm out into the Atlantic.
All along the region’s coast, old harbor towns huddle under lighthouses, their nets hauling in the day’s catch; lobster rolls and clam chowder are always the stars in any seafood shack. To the north, the Appalachians roll away through Vermont and New Hampshire up to Maine, where Atlantic waves crash against the spruce-covered granite cliffs of Acadia National Park.
