In Morocco, guests arrive at the A&K Private Desert Camp by camel across the dunes, and depart by 4X4, which appears like a mirage in the Sahara and vanishes just as quickly.

Decorated with local textiles and furniture, each solar-powered tent has electricity, carpets, proper beds and running water. Dinners are cooked over fire by accomplished chefs, and served under the stars; breakfast is eaten overlooking shapeshifting vistas, from savannah to Saharan dunes, without another soul in sight.
