Luxury Vacations to the Seychelles
Legends of hidden treasure abound in the Indian Ocean’s honeymoon archipelago, once used by pirates as a hideout.
Any loot remains lost, but riches are easily found scattered across 115 coral cays and islands, where emerald mountains rise from golden shores. So much more than the sum of its private island resorts, this is a tropical Eden. Waves wash granite boulders on Bounty-advert beaches in La Digue, white-tailed tropic birds trail like ribbons along the skyline of Silhouette, and weighty coco de mer seeds dangle like jewels from treetops in Praslin’s UNESCO-listed Vallée de Mai. Further out to sea, Alphonse and Desroches are sanctuaries for nesting turtles and a playground for dive enthusiasts attempting underwater races with speedy sailfish. Even more magical than its name suggests, remote Aldabra provides a home for 150,000 giant tortoises. A privilege enjoyed by very few, it can only be visited on a cruise.
