Day 1
Arrive Santiago, Chile

Arrive in Santiago, capital of Chile, where you are met and transferred to your hotel. After checking in, set off on a city tour with your private guide to explore this fascinating modern metropolis.

Day 2
Santiago / Valparaíso / Santiago | Seaside Poetry

Travel overland to explore the coast and the second-largest city in Chile, Valparaíso. Spectacularly situated between the mountains and the sea, this historic port is home to colorful neighborhoods connected by winding streets. Your private guide leads you to the city center, where you visit Plaza de la Victoria, the famous Turri Clock, the docks and fisherman's' wharf and Chilean Nobel Prize-winning poet Pablo Neruda's Valparaíso residence. After lunch, continue to nearby Viña del Mar, touring this Ciudad Jardín (Garden City) with its lavish gardens and Mediterranean atmosphere. Return to Santiago, stopping en route to visit the acclaimed, family-owned Casas del Bosque vineyard to sample its vintages.

Day 3
Puerto Varas | Chilean Lakes & Waterfalls

After breakfast, fly to Puerto Montt. Transfer to Puerto Varas and your hotel on the banks of beautiful Llanquihue Lake. Later, set off with your local guide for adventures in Vicente Perez Rosales National Park. Ride a scenic chairlift up the slopes of Osorno Volcano, partake in a forest hike to mint-green Petrohue Falls and enjoy expansive views over Lake Todos los Santos.

Day 4
Chiloé Island | Penguins & Picturesque Fishing Villages

This morning, ride a ferryboat to Chiloé Island. Settled by the Spanish in 1565, this legendary island is home to emerald forests; rolling hills shrouded in mist; and tiny, picturesque coves that harbor a colorful palette of wooden fishing skiffs. Visit a fishing village and Chiloé’s shores to watch for wildlife that includes dolphins and Magellanic penguins. After lunch, visit the charming market of Ancud and museum of the churches of Chiloé. Return to Puerto Varas.

Puerto Natales | Adventures in Patagonia

Fly to Punta Arenas and journey overland to your luxury hotel overlooking a Patagonian fjord and the fishing village of Puerto Natales. After lunch, enjoy the remainder of your afternoon at leisure in Puerto Natales or embark on your first adventures in spectacular Torres del Paine National Park. Torres Del Paine National Park | Soaring Peaks & Panoramas

Continue exploring the magnificent wilderness of Torres del Paine, choosing from the many expeditions and activities available to you daily at The Singular Patagonia. A UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, the park is renowned for its otherworldly landscape of soaring granite spires, ice and deserted pampas. See firsthand how the jagged granite ridges and spires of the mountains are magnificently serrated, while also keeping watch for a soaring Andean condor riding an updraft; later opt to explore by horseback ride. Puerto Natales | Chilean Fjords & Wildlife

Complete your final day in Patagonia with more excursions and activities that take you deep inside of the park. You may also choose an optional sail through the Patagonian Fjords, reaching Last Hope Fjord. Enjoy time observing colonies of blue-eyed cormorants and sea lions, stop for a hike to the mirador (viewpoint) overlooking Serrano Glacier. If tidal conditions permit, disembark on the beach to observe the pristine vegetation that surrounds the impressive Mount Balmaceda.
