Day 4
Nanuk | Bears, Belugas & Birds of the Tundra

Embark on a full-day exploration of Hudson Bay, with ample opportunities to capture picture-perfect images of polar bears and other fauna as they swim, play and feed in their natural surroundings. Hudson Bay is home to the world’s largest population of beluga whales, and you may sight these cetaceans, whose strange high-pitched whistles, chirping and other underwater vocalizations earned them the nickname of “sea canaries.” Also watch for any of the more than 250 bird species sighted in this tundra region, including the Arctic tern and willow ptarmigan. After lunch, take a trek to view more Arctic geography of river deltas and coastal ridges. Return to the lodge to share your day’s adventures and favorite photos over dinner with your fellow guests.
