Day 1:

Meet in Paris and transfer to impeccable 'Rendez-Vous,' moored at the beautiful Burgundy village of Fleurey-sur-Ouche. After a welcome reception and crew introductions, there is time to unpack — or stroll the towpath as the sun sets — before a gourmet dinner on board.

Day 2:

Cruise through the valley this morning to Gissey, passing incredible scenery along the way. After lunch, visit the vineyards of the Côte de Nuits along the Route des Grands Crus. Visit Clos de Vougeot where medieval monks perfected winemaking techniques and enjoy a tasting of the local vintages.

Day 3:

In Dijon this morning, enjoy a walking tour that includes the lively market with its incredible selection of meats, candies, cheeses, fruits, vegetables and pastries. After lunch, return to 'Rendez-Vous' for an afternoon cruise to La Bussière. Take advantage of this perfect time to walk along the towpath or explore the route by bicycle — or simply sit on deck and absorb the beautiful countryside slowly unfolding before you.

Day 4:

Visit Beaune, the wine capital of Burgundy. Millions of bottles of wine are stored in the cellars beneath the town's cobblestone streets. After a wine tasting, continue to Hôtel-Dieu, an amazingly preserved 15th-century charity hospital with a roof covered in the region's landmark tiles. Have lunch at a lively bistro, followed by a mustard tasting and free time for shopping or a stop at a café before returning to the barge.

Day 5:

Enjoy a relaxing morning cruise to the tiny yet charming hamlet of Pont d'Ouche. After lunch, visit Châteauneuf-en-Auxois with its fairy-tale castle perched high above the canal. Tour the castle and village, to browse its many delightful craft shops.

Day 6:

After breakfast, cruise to picturesque Vandenesse-en-Auxois for a cheese tasting at a local farm. Later, gather for a festive captain's dinner on board to celebrate your relaxing cruise through Burgundy.

After breakfast, transfer back to Paris, arriving in late morning.
