Hosting just eight guests, 'Renaissance' cruises the lovely Canal de Briare in the Upper Loire. Disembark at a renowned family-run vineyard in Sancerre for a tasting, enjoy a gourmet dinner ashore at a Michelin-starred restaurant, cruise on Gustav Eiffel's famous canal bridge and visit the privately-owned Château de la Bussière. Unique itineraries can be created for groups with special interests, such as golf or families.

Vessel Information

128 feet long, 17.5 feet wide with air conditioning and central heating

Capacity for 8 with four spacious king/twin suites, each with flat-screen TV and DVD player. Fully tiled en suite bathrooms have teak flooring and offer shower gel, hand soap, shampoo and hair dryer.

Salon and dining area is approximately 715 square feet, with stereo system and assortment of CDs for guests' enjoyment

Sun deck features an 8-person hot tub and is partially covered by a canopy for comfortable al fresco dining

8 touring bicycles available for guests' use

Deck Plan
Day 1

Meet in Paris and transfer to ‘Renaissance,’ moored in Châtillon-sur-Loire. After a welcome reception, there is time to explore the lovely village and admire its narrow streets and half-timbered houses.

Day 2

The Sancerre wine region of France is known for its aromatic white wines. Visit a local, family-run vineyard for a tasting. After lunch, enjoy a leisurely cruise along the canal.

Day 3

Cruise across Gustave Eiffel's magical aqueduct over the Loire River. Though completed in 1896, it is still one of the longest canal bridges in the world. Visit charming Château de la Bussière with its wonderful gardens.

Day 4

Experience market day in Gien and visit its renowned earthenware center where faïence (glazed ceramic pottery) is produced. Cruise to Montbouy with dinner ashore at a Michelin-starred restaurant.

Day 5

After a morning cruise, visit Château de Sully-sur-Loire, a medieval fortress that was home to the Dukes of Sully. Built in the 14th century, it has a massive keep with high towers and pepper-pot roofs.

Day 6

Cruise the "Little Venice" of Montargis. Visit the Château de Fontainebleau with its 130 acres of parkland and gardens. A former royal residence, it was continuously inhabited for seven centuries. Return to 'Renaissance' for a gala farewell dinner.

Day 7

After breakfast, transfer to Paris, where your journey ends.
