DAY 2
PARIS | The “City of Light”

This morning, tour Paris, seeing the iconic Arc de Triomphe and majestic Eiffel Tower before a visit to Notre Dame Cathedral. Later, drive beyond Paris to the small village of Giverny, where Monet drew inspiration from his gardens to create some of his most famous works. See his paintings come to life when you set eyes on the poetic, vibrantly hued gardens, where lilies float under the Japanese bridge and rows of pansies and violets sway in the sun. Enjoy lunch with views before returning to Paris.

DAY 3
BEAUNE | Journey into Wine Country

Journey to the countryside, enjoying the stunning contrasts between the frenetic French capital you leave behind and the lyrical landscape that unfolds before you. Stop to visit Montbard on the Burgundy Canal, with time to explore and have lunch at leisure. Enjoy a privately guided tour of the Abbey of Fontenay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Continue to charming Beaune in Burgundy’s famed wine country. Settle into your historic boutique hotel in the old town of Beaune.

DAYS 4-5
BEAUNE | The Heart of Burgundy

Travel overland today to Dijon, where a local guide takes you on a city walking tour. See the Duke’s Palace and the bustling city market. After lunch at a local restaurant, return to Beaune. Visit the Hôtel-Dieu (“hostel of God”). Then, spend the rest of the day at leisure. On your final day in the Burgundy region, privately tour Château Cormatin, still owned today by a French aristocrat, and explore the medieval village of Brancion. After lunch on your own, drive Burgundy’s “Cote d’Or” wine route, stopping for a vineyard tour and Culinary Connection at Domaine de Puligny-Montrachet, known for producing one of the world’s most famous white wines. End the day with a tasting of Burgundian vintages.

THE LOIRE VALLEY | Chablis & Chambord

Journey to the fabled Chablis wine region, where you visit a local producer and enjoy lunch. Enter the castle-dotted Loire Valley, pausing for views of the royal château of Chambord with its striking French Renaissance structure and decorative moat. Check in to your family-owned boutique hotel set in a dreamy French country landscape.

THE LOIRE VALLEY | Glorious Châteaux

Begin at historic Château de Chenonceau, Catherine de Medici’s favored residence, which gracefully spans the Cher River atop an arched bridge. Take a guided tour of the impressive gardens at Château de Villandry before returning to your hotel for an evening at leisure. The next day, travel to Tours for an in-depth Market Connection, as you join a local chef for a guided tour of the city market, followed by a cooking class that lets you enjoy the fruits of your labors. Explore this historic city at your own pace, returning to your hotel later for a dinner paired with Loire vintages.

PARIS | French Gothic Glory

Discover Chartres and tour the city's Gothic Cathedral with its glorious stained glass windows. Tonight, join your fellow guests for a farewell dinner to celebrate a magnificent journey.
