Climb Mount Kilimanjaro

Perched 4,600ft above sea level, the city of Arusha offers a laid-back atmosphere enriched by Maasai heritage. Few mountains, however tall or grand, have the same magic as Kilimanjaro. It is the perfect peak, alone above the savannah, its snowy zenith glinting in the African sun. Leave the acacia trees of the Equator behind and venture skywards, into lush montane forest and up into an eerie, stark alpine desert, where giant groundsels erupt from the rock like otherworldly lifeforms.

Spend the night in a series of pop-up campsites on the slopes of the mountain, with increasingly spectacular views as you climb.
