Newly launched in summer 2025, Pure Amazon is a floating oasis of luxury in the wilderness of the Amazon. Designed in harmony with its surroundings, it offers a level of quiet luxury that is exceptional in this region. Renowned architect Adriana Granato of Studio Ibsen has combined Italian contemporary style with echoes of the local area in the Peruvian textiles, natural wood and stone, and a restrained palette of earth, sky, forest and water. The riverboat has just 12 spacious and beautifully designed suites and cabins, all with huge windows for sublime panoramic views. Up on the top deck are a spa pool and daybeds on the sundeck, a lovely light-filled lounge and restaurant serving local and international dishes, and a wellness space with a spa treatment room and a gym. A maximum of 22 passengers per cruise and a staff-to-guest ratio of one-to-one guarantee an intimate, focused and personalized experience, in which every detail is managed by a best-in-class local team.
The Amazon Basin – South America’s biodiverse wonderland
Pure Amazon voyages almost entirely on the rivers, lakes and backwaters of the Pacaya-Samiria National Reserve, in the Peruvian Amazon. A place of exceptional beauty and biodiversity, the reserve is Peru’s largest protected area, spanning 8,000 square miles. June to November is typically the low-water season, when birders and wildlife lovers leap at the opportunity to venture into the habitat of some of the rarest and most iconic species on earth. In the high-water season, from approximately December to May, the Amazon River and its tributaries the Marañón and Ucayali flood, and most of the Pacaya-Samiria reserve is submerged, opening up an enchanting alternative perspective on the landscape.
Your Pure Amazon Itinerary
Pure Amazon offers voyages of three and four nights, which can be combined to create a seven-night itinerary. The three- and four-night options are outlined here. Routes and activities vary in high-water and low-water season, so there are two versions of each.
HIGH-WATER SEASON: THREE-NIGHT CRUISE
In the high-water season (approximately December to May), the Amazon River and its Marañón and Ucayali tributaries flood, and most of the area in which we operate is submerged. New, wider river routes, channels and lagoons open up for riverboats, while skiffs – smaller flat-bottomed boats – can travel deeper into the flooded forest, transformed into a water-world filled with wading birds, aquatic life and flora dictated by the type of flooding.
