From the peerless Taj Mahal and Abu Dhabi’s modern wonders to a flight over Everest base camp and a Sicilian wedding party, Abercrombie & Kent’s Cultural Treasures: Around the World by Private Jet (May 6-29, 2023) delivers the experiences of a lifetime that travellers have been dreaming of for the past two years. Now, just 48 privileged guests have the opportunity to discover some of the world’s most fascinating peoples, places and celebrations alongside experts handpicked for their deep understanding of the local cultures that created them – all in one epic journey, thanks to the ease and comfort that comes from travelling on a private Boeing 757.

“Since the return to travel, we have seen an increase in demand for longer, more immersive trips – especially our Private Jet journeys, which were the first and fastest to fill,” explains Ann Epting, Sr. VP, Private Jet & Special Interest Travel. “Travellers have been starved for the type of cultural experiences that can only be found in these extraordinary destinations and are eager for the chance to cross seven different places off their bucket list in just 24 days.”

Guests can step back from the distractions of modern life with a traditional Japanese tea ceremony and a private geisha performance. Nepal offers incomparable views of Mount Everest by helicopter, while Bhutan affords a glimpse into a fiercely protected traditional culture, as well as a pilgrimage hike up to Tiger’s Nest Monastery. After stopping in Agra for a royal banquet and a sunrise visit to the Taj Mahal, jet off to Uzbekistan to celebrate Samarkand’s Silk Road heritage in Registan Square with a private concert featuring an orchestra, traditional dances and fire jugglers. Abu Dhabi is a city transformed, in dramatic contrast to the Bedouin encampments found in the desert of Wadi Rum and the Treasury of Petra. The journey ends with a taste of Sicilian dolce vita in Palermo, where guests can explore picturesque villages from behind the wheel of an Alfa Romeo or Fiat 500.

Privileged Access & Personalized Experiences
One of A&K’s most experienced Tour Directors orchestrates the journey from start to finish for stress-free travel. On the ground, guests travel in small groups of no more than 16, each led by a Tour Manager, assisted by expert local guides who share their personal stories and provide insights beyond those found in any guidebook.

Distinctive Accommodations
Accommodations reflect the distinctive character of each destination and offer authentic hospitality. These include The Oberoi Amarvilas in Agra, overlooking the nearby Taj Mahal; Dwarika’s in Kathmandu, recognized by UNESCO for its extraordinary traditional woodcarvings; and discover the history, majesty and serenity of Villa Igiea, a 19th century palazzo at the foot of Mount Pellegrino and the Gulf of Palermo. Guests may also take advantage of A&K’s complimentary laundry service, Traveller’s Valet®, midway through the itinerary.

Fine Dining & Entertainment
Dinners are more than just a chance to relax at the end of the day – they are a feast for the senses, with local entertainment and stunning natural backdrops. Experience the thrill of Formula 1 auto racing during a private race at the Yas Marina Circuit, home to the annual Abu Dhabi Grand Prix; sample the flavors of India at a Mughal-themed banquet in Agra; and experience the romance of the desert at night with a candlelit feast in Siq el-Barid (“Little Petra”).

Travel by private jet makes it possible to experience far more than on a conventional itinerary -- with greater space and privacy. Onboard, A&K’s chartered Boeing 757 has custom-designed Italian leather seats equipped with a personal massage system, 4-way adjustable headrests and lumbar support, that open into lie-flat beds, 6’5” long (79” pitch). Guests may choose from an open bar featuring top-shelf wine and spirits, in addition to first-class meal service with personalized espresso drinks. Completing the best-in-class in-flight experience is a dedicated cabin crew with a crew-to-guest ratio of 1:7. Amenities include noise-cancelling headphones, Wi-Fi (where available) and curated entertainment selected to complement the itinerary.

Health & Safety
Guests travel in confidence knowing that A&K has enhanced health and safety protocols with a full-time physician accompanying the group throughout the entire journey, in the air and on the ground. A&K’s more than 55 offices around the world fully vet each on-the-ground partner and work tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure they meet A&K’s exacting standards.
