Abercrombie & Kent Group Appoints New Chief Financial Officer

May 19, 2021

London, May 2021. Abercrombie & Kent (A&K) today announced that Andrew Burrett joins as the new Chief Financial Officer for the Abercrombie & Kent Group, succeeding Brett Fichte, who has held the role since 2007. Andrew is an experienced, high impact finance and business leader, having held multiple CFO roles over the last 15 years for consumer-facing Fortune 500 organisations throughout the world.

Burrett was previously CFO for the Rubbermaid division of Newell Brands and, before that, for Cable & Wireless Communications and Electrolux’s America’s business. In each of his roles, he has helped develop and drive the strategy and commercial operations, aligning the different parts of the organisations around clear goals to deliver shareholder value.

“I am thrilled to be joining the world’s pre-eminent premium travel organisation”, said Burrett. “Abercrombie & Kent’s unparalleled brand and experience offering make them uniquely positioned to prosper as the world moves beyond the pandemic. I look forward to working with Geoffrey Kent, Manfredi Lefebvre d’Ovidio and the teams at Abercrombie & Kent and the Heritage Group as we embark on the next exciting stages of their evolution.”

“In the past few years, pre-Covid, Abercrombie & Kent grew at a record pace. Strong signs of recovery give us confidence that this trend will undoubtedly continue in future years. Andrew is a great addition to the A&K family as with his strong experience and fresh perspective, he is ideally placed to lead the Finance Department in the next growth phase,” added Manfredi Lefebvre d’Ovidio, Co-Chairman of Abercrombie & Kent.

Brett Fichte is a highly experienced and widely respected business leader and has been instrumental to the success of A&K and its positioning as the undoubted leader in the luxury travel industry. After 31 years in the organisation and 14 as Group CFO, Brett will be appointed Chief Transformation Officer, a role newly created to steer A&K to the next level.

“Brett has been my right hand for the past 30 years, and I can never thank him enough for what he has helped me and the company achieve. I wish him all the success he deserves in this new exciting position,” stated Geoffrey Kent, CEO and Co-Chairman of Abercrombie & Kent.

“Like all companies in the Travel and Hospitality Industry, during the past 15 months, Abercrombie & Kent has faced unprecedented challenges, but thanks to a world-class team of professionals, strong core values, our unequivocal positioning and irrefutable brand equity, we are stronger than ever and ready to do what we do best: provide to our valued travellers memories that will last forever. Brett and Andrew joining forces will ensure successful implementation,” concluded Cristina Levis, A&K Vice-Chairman.
