Abercrombie & Kent Opens Office in Japan
January 02, 2019
Luxury travel company Abercrombie & Kent is opening a dedicated office in Japan. This is the company’s 15th office in Asia. “We have seen explosive growth in luxury small group travel and tailor made private travel to Japan over the past two years,” explains Abercrombie & Kent China Managing Director Kath Fok. “We felt it was important to have our own dedicated office in Tokyo to manage the complex logistics of travel throughout the country and guarantee the insider access and personalized service that Travel Advisors expect from Abercrombie & Kent.”
Every A&K journey in Japan is orchestrated by expert local guides: lifelong residents who know the ins and outs of every stop on the itinerary and share their beyond-the-guidebook insights. A portfolio of immersive experiences reveal different aspects of the traditional culture. These might include a private tea ceremony in a family garden in Kanazawa, a private dinner in a 400-year-old home in Kyoto, or a tour of Tsukiji with a sushi chef, followed by a hands-on cooking class.
A&K Japan Country Manager Hatsuko Tsujimura studied law at university, she brings more than 12 years of experience in the travel industry with a strong background in designing itineraries, negotiating with suppliers and coordinating logistics.
“Abercrombie & Kent is committed to expanding our network of local offices to provide the highest level of personalized service and attention to detail,” explains Executive Vice-President - Destination Management Jonathan White. “Our local presence is what makes it possible to deliver the kind of insider access that has built our reputation and which continues to earn A&K recognition as the gold standard of luxury travel.”
