Satellite & Global Phones
Keep in touch from across the globe
When you travel with us, we make sure you are taken care of every step of the way. As an A&K traveler, you receive great offers on Satellite Phones, Cell Phones and Global Phonecards from our communication partner, ekit.
It is extremely important to consider how you will keep in touch during your trip, for safety and security reasons, to contact family/friends back home, to contact work or to be prepared for any unforeseen event. Below are recommendations and options for you. All communication options are pre-paid, so you can easily plan your spending. You can order all items so they are delivered to you before you depart.
- Satellite Phone Rentals: Recommended if you're traveling to more exotic destinations, remote locations or areas where cell phone coverage may be limited.
- International SIM Cards: If you already have a phone that works outside the US, purchase a SIM card to use in your existing phone, and take advantage of low international call rates.
- International Cell Phones for Purchase: If you travel outside the US once or more per year, we recommend purchasing your own international cell phone.
- International Cell Phones for Rent: If you travel outside the US infrequently, we recommend renting an international cell phone.
- Global Phonecards: We recommend a phonecard for use in typical international destinations in Europe, Australia, Mexico and Canada. For other destinations, please consider a Cell Phone or Satellite Phone.
- Online Travel Journal: Family/friends log-in to share in your travel adventure. An Online Travel Journal is included with a Global Premium, Passport or Passport Plus cell phone package or SIM card from ekit, and provides an automatically-updated record of your trip based on where you use your ekit phone.
