Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi/Masai Mara, Kenya

Fly from Nairobi and soar over the Great Rift Valley this morning to the rolling savannas of the Masai Mara Game Reserve. Prepare to discover a vast expanse of open plains, woodlands and tree-lined rivers. Running along the Tanzanian border, the Mara forms an essential part of the Serengeti ecosystem. It is here that the annual migration takes place, when more than a million wildebeests, along with zebras and gazelles, march north to graze on the Mara’s lush grasses. Later this afternoon, embark on your first game drive.

Days 2-3: Masai Mara

Enjoy two full days of morning and afternoon game drives in the Mara, perhaps the most spectacular game reserve in East Africa. The scenic Siria Escarpment is your backdrop for viewing Kenya’s richest concentration of wildlife. See lions lazing in the sunshine; topi standing sentry on termite mounds; and graceful giraffes. Your camp is at the forefront of ecotourism with solar power, biodegradable products and an ingenious wetlands project that allows for all used water to be totally recycled.
