'C'est la Vie' - Champagne

Day 1: SUNDAY

Meet in Paris and drive to luxurious 'C’est la Vie,' moored in the hamlet of village of Meaux. After a welcome reception and crew introductions, settle into your spacious cabin before a gourmet dinner on board.

Day 2: MONDAY

Cruise to Saint-Jean-les-Doux-Jumeaux, disembarking for a tour of the stunning 17th-century Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte, a historic French Baroque masterpiece designed by the architect and decorator of Versailles.

Day 3: TUESDAY

On a day devoted to remembrance, cruise to Château-Thierry, where historic battles have been fought, from the Napoleonic era through the 20th century. Then, proceed to the solemn battle sites of Belleau Wood and the Aisne-Marne American Cemetery and Memorial, which commemorate American Marines who fell while fighting in this region during World War I.

Day 4: WEDNESDAY

Moor in Épernay and disembark for a tasting at famed Moët & Chandon winery, with its 18 miles of cellars where some 30 million bottles are stored. Then, visit Hautvillers, a picturesque hilltop village where you learn about 18th-century Benedictine monk Dom Pérignon and his historic contributions to the méthode champenoise — the art of making Champagne.

Day 5: THURSDAY

After a leisurely morning cruise with time to walk or cycle along the towpath, disembark to experience a small, family-run vineyard for a tasting. Tonight enjoy dinner ashore at the three-star Michelin restaurant, L'Assiette Champenoise, where the renowned Chef Arnaud Lallement presents a menu that evolves with the seasons.

Day 6: FRIDAY

Today, visit Reims and its 13th-century Gothic cathedral, where French kings were once crowned, followed by time at leisure to explore on your own. Then, return to the barge for a gala Captain's dinner tonight.

Day 7: SATURDAY

After breakfast, disembark in Sillery and transfer back to Paris to depart.
