Day 1: Arrive Albuquerque, New Mexico
Arrive in Albuquerque, where you are met by your guide and chauffered to Taos, stopping en route for a private tour of the Poeh Museum, viewing works by top contemporary Pueblo artists. Continue to Taos, breaking for a hike as well as photo opportunities at scenic spots along the way. On arrival, check in to your hotel to enjoy your evening at leisure.
Day 2: Taos | Walking Tour of Taos Pueblo
Walk the historic downtown district of Taos with your guide, exploring world-class museums, eclectic galleries and chic boutiques. Meet with local artists, leatherworkers and jewelers in their shops who discuss their works with you. Next, visit the Taos Pueblo, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that has been continuously inhabited for 1,000 years. Wander through this adobe village, where centuries-old pottery fragments still litter the ground, and gain an understanding of its place in American history.

Day 3: Taos/Santa Fe | Historic Churches
Today, travel with your guide through the magnificent mountains to Santa Fe. First, just as you leave the Taos area, visit Ranchos de Taos San Francisco de Asis church — a famous subject of both Ansel Adams’ photographs and Georgia O’Keeffe’s paintings. Then, continue to Santa Fe, visiting meaningful historic sites en route, including stops at several Spanish Colonial villages to browse their shops, galleries and studios. The town of Chimayo, a center for woodcarving and masterful, award-winning weavings, also awaits, as does the 19th-century Santuario de Chimayo, a pilgrimage site, known as the “Lourdes of the Southwest”— that attracts thousands of believers every year. Upon arrival, check in to your luxurious resort getaway.
Day 4: Santa Fe | Georgia O’Keeffe Museum & Cooking Lesson
Stroll the streets of Santa Fe, touring historically important sites with your private guide, including the New Mexico History Museum, the Museum of Art and the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum. Browse the neighborhood shops to chat with local artisans. Tonight, meet with a culinary author and expert chef who shows you how to prepare traditional Native American dishes during a private cooking lesson. Day 5: Santa Fe | Museum Hill & Glassblowing
Tour Museum Hill and go behind the scenes with a museum curator at your choice of four fascinating institutions: The Museum of International Folk Art, the Wheelwright Museum of the American Indian, The Museum of Indian Arts and Culture, or the Museum of Spanish Colonial Art. Then, get a breath of fresh air in the Santa Fe Botanical Gardens. This afternoon, experience the art of glassblowing with a hands-on artisan visit. Work with a skilled expert to learn the techniques to shape, sculpt and blow beautiful colored glass and show off your elegant creation when you return home.
Day 6: Depart for Albuquerque
After breakfast, privately transfer to the airport in Albuquerque to depart, perhaps stopping en route to visit a few last sites of interest.
