Day 1: Arrive Manila, Philippines

Upon arrival in the Philippine capital of Manila, transfer to your luxury hotel in the desirable Makati area.

Day 2: Manila | Echoes of Intramuros

This morning, embark on a tour of Old Manila. Begin at historic Rizal Park, then on to the walled city of Intramuros. Visit San Agustin Church, the only one of Intramuros’s buildings to survive the destruction of World War II. Next, Ride Like a Local on a kalesa (horse-drawn carriage) to Fort Santiago, a former citadel and military headquarters of Spanish, American and Japanese forces. After lunch, visit the Manila American Cemetery, discovering the close ties between these two nations. This evening, enjoy a welcome dinner.

Day 3: Manila | MacArthur’s Rock: Corregidor by Helicopter

Set out on a thrilling charter helicopter flight over Manila Bay to General MacArthur’s World War II island fortress of Corregidor. Alight to board a tram for a private tour of this military memorial commemorating the last Filipino-American bastion to fall to Japanese forces in World War II. Descend into the cavernous Malinta Tunnel, General MacArthur’s headquarters during the siege. Step back aboard your helicopter to circle the vast flooded crater of Taal Lake Volcano. Disembark near the hillside town of Tagaytay for a local organic lunch, returning to Manila in the late afternoon.

Day 4: Manila/Bohol | Historic Island Paradise

Enjoy a leisurely morning before flying to the wondrous island of Bohol. Tour a centuries-old stone church showcasing religious ceiling murals. Continue on to the site of the historic Blood Compact, where a Spanish conquistador and a native chieftain sealed their friendship through blood. This evening, an award-winning chef prepares a Filipino Chef’s Table experience at your beachfront resort.

Day 5: Bohol | Tears of a Giant: The Chocolate Hills

This morning, venture into the jungle sanctuary of the rare and endangered Philippine tarsier — one of the world’s smallest primates. Next, enjoy lunch aboard a catamaran as you float down the gentle Loboc River. Drive on to the Chocolate Hills, a spectacular landscape of majestic grassy hillocks spanning the horizon. Formed by eons of coral buildup and erosion, a local legend holds they are the tears of a heartbroken giant. Return to your resort for an evening at leisure.

Day 6: Bohol/Cebu/Mactan Island | 500 Years of History

After time on the beach, catch a ferry to Cebu. Take a jeepney ride, a uniquely Filipino form of transport, to explore markets overflowing with handicrafts, produce and dried fish. Continue on to Plaza Sugbo and the Basilica of the Santo Nino. Visit the Cross of Magellan, a site marking the baptism of the first Christian Filipinos. Then, proceed to your resort on the adjacent island of Mactan.

Day 7: Mactan Island | Swimming Among the Coral

This morning, join a marine biologist for an inspiring snorkeling adventure through the clear waters of the Shangri-La’s Marine Sanctuary, a wonderland teeming with angelfish, blue tang, clownfish, puffers and giant clams. Next, lend a hand as the sanctuary builds a coral nesting site. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure, cooling off with some watersports or just relaxing at the resort.

Day 8: Cebu/Boracay | White Sands & Ocean Breezes

After a visit to a guitar factory, board a mid-day flight to Boracay Island — home to some of the world’s most pristine white sand beaches. Dip your toes in the sand as paraws (outrigger sailboats) dot the horizon. Settle into your luxury resort, gathering later for a fresh seafood dinner.

Day 9: Boracay | Preserving a Way of Life

This morning, visit the Motag Living Museum for an authentic look at the local indigenous traditions, enjoying songs, dances and farming demonstrations. Pause for lunch, taking time to explore the white sand beaches before returning to your resort.

Day 10: Boracay | At Leisure on the Surf

Enjoy a day at leisure on the beaches of Boracay. Snorkel the reefs or relax in the sunshine and soak up the tropical climate. This evening, savor a Scenic Sundowner on the beachfront. Later, enjoy a farewell dinner and a rousing performance by Filipino fire dancers.

Day 11: Boracay/Manila | A Parting Glance

Fly back to Manila for lunch at the historic Manila Hotel, General MacArthur’s post-war home. Return to your luxurious hotel for a farewell cocktail
