This morning, join your guide to see the most important landmarks in Buenos Aires: the Casa Rosada, Cabildo, Metropolitan Cathedral, Plaza de Mayo and La Recoleta Cemetery, last resting place of Eve Perón, Argentina’s beloved and controversial former First Lady, who left behind a legacy of social justice. This afternoon, fly approximately four hours south to Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world.

Day 3: Ushuaia | Strolling Through a Penguin Rookery
Drive to Estancia Harberton, the oldest estancia (farm) in Tierra del Fuego and an Argentine National Historical Monument. Sail to Isla Martillo to walk among a teeming rookery of Magellanic penguins before continuing to Gable Island for lunch. Afterward, sail back to Harberton and return to your hotel for an evening at leisure.

Day 4: El Calafate | Patagonian Ranch Visit
Fly to El Calafate and experience Patagonian rural life during a visit to an authentic ranch. Experience over 100 years of history along its sheep corrals, its main building and its landscapes. Watch sheep shearing and herding, and hike or horseback ride along the banks of Argentino Lake. Tonight, savor a dinner of lamb grilled on a traditional Patagonian cross stake.

Day 5: El Calafate | Magnificent Views of Glaciers
Today, visit Perito Moreno Glacier, one of the few remaining advancing glaciers in the world. Hike at your own pace and ability along the seven “balconies” (walkways) located at different heights and distances from the glacier, each with magnificent views of the glacier’s northern and southern faces. This afternoon, relax at leisure at the hotel or explore quaint El Calafate.

Days 6-8: Puerto Natales, Chile | Exploring Torres del Paine
Journey overland to Puerto Natales and spend three full days exploring Puerto Natales or Torres del Paine National Park in the heart of Patagonia. These areas boast a stunning array of mountains, glaciers, lakes and forests. Along with thousands of sheep, Patagonia is home to local animal species such as guanaco, nandu, condor and flamingo. Explore by vehicle; on horseback with trails providing access to places unreachable by car; by boat along the fjords or rivers; and on foot, with treks ranging from easy walks to much more extensive explorations.
