Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Hong Kong

Arrive in Hong Kong, where you are met and transferred to your hotel. A city of dazzling contrasts, Hong Kong is a unique blend of East and West. Marvel at the sights, from the peaks of Kowloon and New Territories providing a stunning backdrop of deep water to the glimmering high-rise buildings that signal the energy and prosperity of the city.

Day 2: Explore the City

Begin the day with a tai chi lesson in the nearby Charter Garden. Afterward, return to hotel for breakfast. Embark on your tour of Hong Kong accompanied by your A&K Resident Director. Stroll around the Central District and view some of the city’s most iconic buildings, and then explore a food and herb market. Following a stop at Man Mo Temples, enjoy a ride on the Peak Tram, a funicular that carries you to the top of Victoria Peak for amazing views of the city. Take a sampan ride through the floating villages before lunch at a floating restaurant. Relax this afternoon before driving to the Kowloon side for a special evening at a renowned restaurant with a prime view of the nightly Symphony of Lights extravaganza, a spectacle of colored lights, lasers and search lights choreographed to music.

Day 3: Gala New Year’s Eve Celebration

Join a local culinary specialist for a food-themed tour of the city. Follow a food trail through one of Hong Kong’s most fascinating neighborhoods, Sham Shui Po, where decades-old restaurants serve up local favorites alongside cutting-edge specialty food markets. End your morning’s journey with a revitalizing reflexology foot massage accompanied by a glass of Champagne. This evening, celebrate in style with a specially prepared New Year’s Eve dinner at one of your hotel’s gourmet restaurants. With expansive windows overlooking Victoria Harbour, far above the crowds, you have a prime viewing seat to witness Hong Kong’s unmatched New Year’s Eve fireworks display.

Day 4: Macau

Sleep in after last night’s festivities and enjoy breakfast at your leisure. Late in the morning, depart Hong Kong by turbojet boat across the China Sea to Macau, the Portuguese-settled coastal town with a unique Euro-Asian vibe. Visit the ruins of St. Paul’s Church, constructed in the 17th century, and then continue to the Museum of Macau, built into a historic fort. Enjoy a Portuguese-style lunch; afterward, proceed to Macau Tower for a breathtaking panoramic view of the Pearl River delta. Visit the Temple of A-Ma, dedicated to the seafarers’ goddess and built on a boulder-strewn hillside. En route back to Hong Kong, stop at one of Macau’s casinos to watch the high-stakes action. Return to Hong Kong by turbojet boat. Your dinner tonight is served a short stroll away at Peking Garden, world-famous for its Peking duck.

Day 5: Depart Hong Kong

Bid farewell to Hong Kong as you transfer to Hong Kong's Chek Lap Kok International Airport for your departure flight.
