Cruise to Kenai Fjords National Park, which encompasses approximately 580,000 acres on the rugged outer Kenai Peninsula coastline. The ice field feeds over 40 outlet glaciers; a few of them end in Resurrection Bay. Get up-close views of them on your cruise. You may even witness the crashing of calving glaciers. Keep watch for spectacular views of the wildlife in their natural habitat, perhaps seeing mountain goats, moose, bears, wolverines and marmots. Bird enthusiasts should keep their eyes peeled for bald eagles amid the cliffs and rocky shores; they’re often seen nesting in the tops of spruce and hemlock trees. Meanwhile, watch the waters for sea lions, harbor seals, Dall porpoises, sea otters and Humpback, Killer and Minka whales.
