Tailor Made Zambia: Walking with Wildlife

Day 1: Arrive Johannesburg, South Africa

Arrive in Johannesburg and transfer to your hotel. Nestled in the prestigious Sandton suburb of Morningside Manor, on the magnificent Fairlawns Estate, is Fairlawns Boutique Hotel & Spa. Reminiscent of the late 18th century European Era, the classical architectural style of Fairlawns blends harmoniously with the indigenous surroundings. The evening is at leisure to relax and recover from your international flight.

Day 2: South Luangwa National Park, Zambia | Impressive Encounters

Following breakfast, fly to Lusaka, Zambia, where you connect with your flight to South Luangwa National Park. Check in to your camp, named for the elusive Puku antelope that inhabits the Kakumbi floodplain. Situated in a remote, wildlife-rich area in the national park, its deck overlooks the Luangwa riverbed and a small waterhole, making it the perfect place to sit and watch the African bush unfold.

Transfer to the airstrip for this morning and board a light aircraft flight to Lower Zambezi National Park via Lusaka. Transfer to your Bedouin-style tented camp, situated on the banks of the Zambezi River. The following day, set out in search of some of the finest game viewing in Africa. Traverse Lower Zambezi National Park — situated on the banks of the Zambezi River — by four-wheel drive vehicle or on foot (bush walks). Or, take a water safari. Enjoy dinner on the camp’s open deck, with views of the bush and a water hole frequented by resident animals.
