Day 1: Arrive Delhi, India
Arrive in Delhi. After clearing customs, meet your A&K representative and transfer to your hotel.
Day 2: Delhi / India’s Capital
Visit Old Delhi’s Jama Masjid (Friday Mosque); take a rickshaw ride through the bustling Chandni Chowk market; and see the Red Fort, continuing to Raj Ghat, where Gandhi was cremated. Then, see New Delhi’s Humayun’s Tomb and Qutub Minar. Drive along the pond-flanked Rajpath, seeing the India Gate and Rashtrapati Bhawan, the residence of the President of India. Join fellow guests for a welcome cocktail and dinner.

Day 3: Osian / Towering Desert Dunes
Fly to Jodhpur, and proceed to Osian, seeing Jain temples en route to your mobile, tented desert camp. Set off on a camel-back safari for Sundowner cocktails amid the dunes, and board a 4x4 vehicle to enjoy folk entertainment and a candlelit dinner with the grandson of Maharaja Ratan Singh.

Days 4-5: Jodhpur / City of Maharajas
See the sunrise from your desert camp. Then, drive to Jodhpur and check in to your hotel, enjoying some time at leisure. Later this afternoon, Ride Like a Local during a tuk-tuk ride through Jodhpur’s Old Town. Stroll through its bazaars and markets. The following day, drive to Salawas to visit with local potters, weavers and the Bishnoi people. Then, explore Jodhpur’s Mehrangarh Fort; the marble Jaswant Thada monument; and Maharaja Jaswant Singh, a cenotaph displaying Maharajas’ portraits.

Days 6-7: Jaipur / The “Pink City”
Drive a full day to the “Pink City” of Jaipur and check in to your hotel. The next day, visit the Amber Fort and explore Jaipur, seeing the Hawa Mahal Palace, Jantar Mantar Observatory and the City Palace.

Days 8-9: Ranthambore / Tiger Country
Drive to Ranthambore and check in to your lodge. Spend the next two days exploring and taking game drives in Ranthambore National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with lake palaces, fortifications and the centuries-old Ranthambore Fort. Amid the ruins, watch for the elusive Bengal tiger as well as leopards, hyenas, sloth bears, barking deer and nilgai, Asia’s largest antelope.

Days 10-11: Agra / Taj Mahal Times Two
Board a train to Bharatpur and proceed to Fatehpur Sikri, a red sandstone city “ghost town” built by Emperor Akbar as his capital and palace. Continue to Agra. After settling into your hotel, visit the Taj Mahal at sunset, and again the following morning, when it takes on a different cast. Then, see the Agra Fort, Akbar’s citadel. Return to your hotel for an afternoon at leisure, followed by cocktails and a farewell dinner at your hotel.

Drive to Delhi and check in to your airport hotel. The balance of your day is at leisure.
