Day 1: Arrive Dubrovnik
Arrive in Dubrovnik, gem of the Adriatic. Your A&K representative greets you and escorts you to your hotel.
Day 2: Dubrovnik
Begin today with a walking tour of Old Harbor, seeing medieval and Renaissance architecture. Stroll along the centuries-old main city promenade of Stradun, visiting the 14th-century Franciscan monastery, whose cloister ranks among the city’s most inspiring sites. At the other end of Stradun, see the church of St. Blaise and the Sponza Palace, as well as the Rector’s Palace.
Day 3: Marco Polo’s Island
Drive along the Peljesac Peninsula, enjoying stunning views and sighting the fortified village of Ston, with its enormous city walls. Take a short ferry ride to the island of Korcula, thought to be the hometown of Marco Polo, the first world traveller. Its long and turbulent history has left profound marks that are visible at first sight. Korcula is famous for Moreska, a ritualized staging of the 15th-century battles between Christians and Moors. Walk along the charming, zigzagging Korcula streets, and visit the treasury of the Abbey, City Museum, Museum of Icons and the Cathedral. Returning to Dubrovnik, stop by a boutique producer of Dalmatian white and red wines for a tour and private tasting of wines and olive oil.
