Day 1: Arrive Hanoi, Vietnam

Arrive in Hanoi and transfer to your colonial-style hotel.

Day 2: Hanoi | Asian Grace and Pace

Visit Ho Chi Minh’s house, the lotus-shaped One Pillar Pagoda, Quan Thanh Temple and the robust National Museum of Fine Arts. Later, travel by cyclo through the Old Quarter and see a traditional roi nuoc (water puppetry) performance.

Day 3: Ha Long Bay | Cua Van Fishing Village

Travel to Ha Long Bay to board a luxury junk — your accommodations for the night — and sail through this magical bay, enjoying a swim or a guided hike. Later, visit Cua Van, the oldest fishing village in Ha Long Bay, and meet third-generation fishermen.

Day 4: Ha Long Bay | Art By Nature

Greet the sunrise with a tai chi lesson on deck followed by a sail to a limestone grotto. Return overland to Hanoi before flying to Danang, where you are welcomed at a new beachfront resort on Son Tra Peninsula.

Day 5: Danang to Hoi An | Silk Trade

Visit the lovely traditional town of Hoi An, including the Old House of Tan Ky, the Fujian Assembly Hall and the 400-year-old Japanese covered bridge. Enter a local home to see how silkworms are raised, and then visit the workshop of a local lantern artist.

Day 6: Ho Chi Minh City | Vibrant Saigon

Fly to evocative Ho Chi Minh City where you visit Quan Am Pagoda, Binh Tay Market and Cholon, the city’s Chinatown.

Day 7: Ho Chi Minh City | Cu Chi Tunnels

Travel to the countryside to explore the expansive Cu Chi Tunnel network, a key Vietcong resource during the Vietnam War. Later, see the city’s Central Post Office, the Cathedral of Notre Dame and the Opera House.

Days 8-10: Siem Reap, Cambodia | Ruins of Angkor Wat

Fly to charming Siem Reap, the town nearest to the breathtaking ruins of Angkor Wat. Set off with your guide to explore Bayon Temple, the Elephant and Leper King Terraces, and Ta Prohm temple, which you experience at sunrise before other visitors arrive. Discover the less-visited Banteay Srei and Banteay Samre as well as treasures at the Angkor National Museum. On your last day, watch the sunrise over the main temple of Angkor Wat. Later, visit Tonle Sap Lake to observe its local floating villages.

Day 11: Bangkok, Thailand | City of Life

Fly to Bangkok and transfer to your hotel on the banks of the Chao Phraya River. The remainder of your day is at leisure.

Day 12: Bangkok | Chao Phraya River

Travel by boat through the klongs, an ancient yet still-vital system of canals off the Chao Phraya River. This afternoon, take a tuk-tuk ride around the sprawling grounds of the Grand Palace. Next, visit Wat Pho temple, with its gilded Reclining Buddha and the musical sound of coins dropping into brass offering bowls.
