Four Seasons Hotel Amman | Meals: B L - Day 3: Amman/Madaba/Petra
-
From Amman, follow mountain-fringed King’s Highway through the beautiful Gorge of Amman (Wadi Mujib). Explore the city of Madaba, known for its spectacular Byzantine and Umayyad mosaics. See the famous sixth-century mosaic map of Jerusalem and the Holy Land; comprised of two million pieces of colored stone, it depicts villages as far away as the Nile Delta. From here, continue to Mount Nebo, where the Bible says Moses glimpsed the Promised Land — which he would never enter — and spent his final days. Explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Um Ar-Rassas, famous for its stunning collection of mosaics before driving to the Nabatean city of Petra.
Movenpick Resort Petra | Meals: B L - Day 4: Petra

UNESCO describes Petra as “one of the most precious cultural properties of man’s cultural heritage.” Spend a full day exploring the “rose-red” city, sculpted from a mountain range by the Nabataeans in the third century BC. Major sites include the Treasury, the Temple of Winged Lions, baths, markets, storerooms and tombs.

-
This morning, explore Wadi Rum, where T. E. Lawrence lived with his Bedouin allies during World War I. Bedouin camps are evident in the Wadi, and some welcome visitors with open arms. Continue your drive to the Dead Sea and your resort hotel, a luxurious retreat surrounded by beautiful gardens, lagoons, olive trees and bamboo palms. The balance of the day is at your leisure to settle in, enjoy the resort’s facilities or explore the wonders of the Dead Sea.
Kempinski Hotel Ishtar | Meals: B L - Day 6: Dead Sea

Explore at your own pace, or relax at your resort hotel. Go for a dip in one of your hotel’s nine fresh-water pools, or spend some time in a private pergola situated steps from the water’s edge.
