Take a short hike at Cuicocha’s crater lake. Then travel to Otavalo and visit its world-famous market. On your way back to Quito, stops include Carabuela, where you visit an Indian family that still uses an ancient process to produce woolen crafts; Peguche, where carpets and Andean musical instruments are made; and Cotacachi, renowned for its leather goods.
