360˚ of Luxury from Abercrombie & Kent
Global Portfolio of 2013 Luxury Small Group Journeys
Celebrating 50 years of planning extraordinary travel experiences, Abercrombie & Kent (A&K) is introducing a comprehensive luxury portfolio that establishes a new global standard for luxury travel, replacing regional destination brochures and redefining the luxury experience. A&K's 2013 Luxury Small Group Journeys showcases more than 40 inspiring itineraries, highlighting guest favorites, along with 6 newly-designed programs.
"We closely analyzed what was most important to our guests: the destinations with the greatest appeal, experiences that made a lasting impression and the most frequent wish list requests," explains Phil Otterson, president of Abercrombie & Kent USA. "We distilled these into expertly-curated itineraries for the most authentic and inspiring small group tours, with the comfort and service that only A&K consistently delivers worldwide."
Exclusive & Innovative: The A&K Travel Experience
Through its network of 50 local offices, Abercrombie & Kent has added new amenities to 2013 departures to further enhance the luxury travel experience:
- NEW: Travelling Bell Boy® – Guests simply leave their packed bags in their room when they depart in the morning and find them waiting in their room at the next hotel that evening. Previously only available in Europe, A&K is expanding this exclusive service to the rest of the globe.
- NEW: Staying Connected: Internet on the Road – Complimentary Internet service is now included in most destinations.
- NEW: Guaranteed Group Extensions – These are specially designed and priced to complement select journeys, with many departures guaranteed to operate.
Each A&K Luxury Small Group Journey includes the best rooms at the best hotel at every stop – whether a modern, five-star haven, a royal residence turned hotel or an authentic, eco-friendly wilderness camp. The small group size – with just 12-18 guests on land-based programs and 24 on Family Journeys and cruises – makes it possible to feature intimate, upscale lodgings and sites that are closed to larger groups.
According to Otterson, "We designed these travel itineraries to be the most luxurious way to experience a destination. Each features best-in-class accommodations and the new brochure includes photos and detailed descriptions of each hotel. A simplified Dates & Pricing chart makes it easy for travel agents to explain the difference between high and low season departures to their clients. And every trip is guaranteed to operate with a local A&K Tour Director from start to finish for a minimum of two guests."

TAKE THIS JOURNEY PRIVATE
"We often get requests from our guests to duplicate a group itinerary for their family or friends," adds Otterson. "This new portfolio highlights places where it is possible to 'Take This Journey Private' and enjoy the same seamless A&K service from arrival to departure as on our luxury small group journeys. We include expert local guides, private airport transfers on arrival and departure, deluxe accommodations and enriching sightseeing – often with access to places only available to A&K clients."
