History of Marco Polo
Marco Polo was one of the first Westerners to travel the Silk Road to China and visit the Great Khan of the Mongol Empire, Kublai Khan. It is his adventures that inspire the Marco Polo Club and Abercrombie & Kent to consistently plan new programs to exotic locales.
In the spirit of journeys to distant places and as a tribute to this great adventurer, our Club logo reflects Marco Polo's family coat of arms. Marco Polo's family hailed from Sibenik in present-day Croatia, but settled in Venice in the 11th century. It was from Venice that he embarked on the journeys that would make him famous. Wherever your own journeys begin, you can look forward to a voyage of extraordinary discovery and unique insights — a voyage worthy of the explorer whose name we are proud to adopt.
Join us on adventures to the world's greatest places ... the world of Marco Polo Club.
