Born and raised in Kenya, John Webley grew up in a family that nurtured his spirit of adventure and interest in travel, as well as a concern for conservation and the environment. While piloting a balloon over Kenya, John met the Kents, and he joined Abercrombie and Kent in 1990. John’s achievements with the company include inaugurating operations of the A&K Uganda office and establishing an exclusive gorilla camp in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.
Spurred by childhood inspiration of birthday parties at the Griffith Park Zoo (now the Los Angeles Zoo) and the film, Born Free, Lynne’s marriage into the well-known Leakey family started her on a long career of observing and studying the wildlife and ecology of East Africa as well as the tribal life of it’s people. She lectures regularly on topics such as the social behavior of elephants, the Maasai people and the national parks.
By the age of 21, Jan Moester had visited every country in Europe while guiding groups of American students. Jan soon found himself in the role of professional guide, much to the delight of the devoted clientele of over 25 private jet programs, including the 2007 and 2008 Nine World Wonders programs. He has proven himself time and again as an ideal travelling companion: experienced, affable, intelligent, well informed and dedicated to each new journey’s success.
